Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that affect the social development of elementary school students through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Social development is the ability of children to interact, communicate, cooperate, and adjust to their social environment. The research method uses the PRISMA model which includes the stages of identification, screening, feasibility, and data inclusion. The article search was carried out in the 2020–2024 range and obtained 120 initial articles, then selected to produce 6 relevant articles for analysis. The results of the study show that the social development of elementary school students is influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include emotions, intelligence, mental capacity, maturity, student condition, age, and gender. Meanwhile, external factors include the family environment, school environment, peers, socioeconomic conditions of parents, culture, and patterns of social interaction of children. The family and school environment are the dominant factors in shaping students' social behavior. Teacher support, good parenting, and a positive friendship environment can help improve students' social and emotional abilities. Therefore, cooperation between families, schools, and the community is needed to support the optimal social development of students.
