The Relationship Between Interest in Learning English With Intensity Listening to English Music

Abstract

English is a universal language so it is important to learn. There are many ways to learn English, one of which is by listening to music. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the relationship between interest in learning English and the intensity of listening to English music. This research measures how big the role of English music in increasing interest in learning and the effectiveness of learning using English music. This research uses a quantitative method. The author collected this data through a Google Form survey to 14 students of English study program for business communication and professionals, Malang State Polytechnic. The author has found as many as 14 respondents agreed that listening to English music can increase their interest in learning English. From the data we conclude that learning using music listening method can increase students' interest in learning English.
