Student Difficulties in English Learning

Along with the development of the times, there are many learning needs that use English because English is a language used in some countries, therefore we must be able to master English because it is very useful for us in the future. However, there are still many students who still have not mastered English properly and correctly. This study aims to describe the learning difficulties of Malang State Polytechnic students in mastering English. The subjects The subjects in the study were 20 Non-English students in 2022 as many as 20 students of the Non-English study program at Malang State Polytechnic.This study measured all domains in learning outcomes. The results showed an increase in each domain in each cycle. Data analysis was collected using quantitative methods. The results of this study concluded that Listening and Speaking skills are the most difficult, the factors that cause learning difficulties are the lack of student interest and practice in learning English. The motivation that encourages students to learn English is to add soft skills to apply for jobs in the future.
