Student Perceptions of Online English Learning

The aim of the study is to analyze how to learn English online. The study also aims to analyse the positive and negative aspects perceived by students during online lectures. The first phase of the questionnaire was completed by 14 respondents from Prodi English Business Communications and Professional Class 2B. The study has three formula problems: (1) what methods are used by students when learning online, (2) what courses are difficult to learn, (3) what barriers are felt by students while learning online. In this study we used the quantitative method of this research using google forms to retrieve data, and the results of this study show that students have different learning methods like memorizing the material already submitted. Thus it can be concluded that while online learning students get some impediments such as poor network connections, even students get impediments during online learning, they can also have the positive side of having free time, and the main impediment perceived by students is a less stable network so learning becomes less effective.
