Abstract

As we know, Indonesia has been liberated from the siege of colonization thanks to the struggle of heroes who have risked their lives in the fight for independence. At first, they used the language of their respective regions and the result was nothing but, when they were to fight for Indonesian independence, they finally found a bright spot. And one of the things that united them and also preserved their independence, was using the Indonesian language. This study aims to describe the attitude of language use to the Indonesian language in the English Language Studies Program for Business Communication and Polytechnic Professionals of the State of Malang. A survey study uses a form of quantitative descriptive research. In this study was a student with a total of 26 students. The method in this research is a survey method and there are already 15 students involved in this survey. Data collection using questionnaires through this Gform, then the data is analyzed using survey techniques by collecting data. The results of this study showed data on the pride rate of using the Indonesian language on the first data, the average student ranked high with a score of 40% or as many as 6 people choose to use the Indonesia language frequently. Then, the results of the study that showed the data value of awareness of the language norms using the Indian language good and correct, also showed that students in classes 2B-D4 English have a high level of consciousness, i.e. as much as 11 people or 73.3% use the Indonezian language.
